Progressive Machining is a full service machine shop in Waterloo, centrally located in the core of Ontario's high-tech manufacturing heartland.
Over the past 25 years, our commitment to constant improvement has allowed several stages of significant expansion, culminating in our present modern 18,000 s.f. facility.

From prototype and specialized one off parts, to volume production runs, we have the capability to serve the needs of a wide range of customers across a diverse range of industries.

About Us
Progressive Machining is a custom machine shop that has been serving Waterloo, Ontario and its surrounding area since 1988.
​
Progressive Machining was originally started in 1988 and was named Hydra Track Canada. Hydra Track Canada was a small machine shop that operated out of Wellesley, Ontario. On December 1, 2005 the company changed its name to Progressive Machining Inc. At this same time Progressive relocated and expanded to a new facility in Waterloo, Ontario at 580 Colby Drive.

Progressive Machining Continued to operate out of the 580 Colby Drive location while expanding its staff, machining capabilities and adding new equipment. From 2005 to summer 2011 Progressive gained many new customers and markets. The expanded facility filled with new equipment and staff. During the summer of 2011 Progressive Machining then expanded to a second location at 665 Colby drive. This expansion added a larger capacity for material stock, 2 new CNC mills and a CNC lathe. This was all done to keep up with our customers’ demands of quick turnaround with competitive prices.

Years went by and Progressive continued to grow while adding more staff and equipment. January 2015 Progressive Machining Inc. moved and expanded once again to its current facility at 75 Bathurst Drive in Waterloo. This allowed us to put all of our staff and equipment under one roof. Through 2015, Progressive continued adding new equipment and staff to continue to be able to meet customer demand.
